The White Queen Inspired Mural

October 29, 2013

Pencil sketch for the mural design

Here’s a design I worked on for a mural in a client’s bathroom. The mural was inspired by a building from the recent BBC series ‘The White Queen’. I’d made some adaptations to it with a pastoral landscape added and the feel of the painting being a little more baroque. The colour palette was also adapted to the colour scheme in the room that I had worked on. A copper bath will be installed underneath the mural and I’ve tried to complement the copper tones in the mural itself. The hand crafted oak woodwork in the bathroom was designed by Chris Eckersley I can’t wait to see it after the copper bath goes in!
