Along with the mural artist Nick Boulter, I was commissioned to paint a series of 16 murals to represent daily life in Rome. We drew up around 25 designs and this was further narrowed down to the 16 used. The format for these was quite a challenge as it was pretty much letterbox dimensions, but this lead to some interesting compositions. We had to conduct quite extensive research to try and get the paintings as historically accurate as possible.
